PRAYERS

+ For those left in Lebanon - that they might be held and protected in God's light, that their children be unafraid, that they may feel Presence close by through the terrible nights

+ For Israelis - That their children might overcome fear, that innocents be secure; for the peace movement grow in its courage and will to reclaim their country from the militants; for all the soldiers refusing to fight in these dirty wars outside their borders, that they not be forgotten or alone.

+ For the Filipino and Sri Lankan domestic workers still in Lebanon, mostly women, many of whom cannot be evacuated - May they also be strengthened, and for all those left ministring to them and letting them know they are not alone. For the ministry of Aimee (from Madagascar) in particular, who is staying to comfort these workers.

+ For the Gaza strip - which continues to be bombarded despite everyone focusing on Lebanon. For those under siege, at war, facing occupation and terrorism everywhere - Lord have mercy.
